Vets' Advice
Local J Force groups meet at varying times in their own regions, and gather every two years for a national reunion. Members also receive an informative newspaper four times a year.
Away trips are announced at the luncheons. J Force visitors are always welcome at luncheons, but it is a good idea to let someone know that you will be attending so that catering can be organised.
The J Force newspaper is filled with news for J Force families. Contact the editor, Pete Chambers, on (06) 858 7877. He may be able to help you track down old mates.
The National Reunion will be held in Mount Maunganui, 19-21 March 2007. Start planning to be there, put your name on the list by sending $20 per person to
The Secretary J Force Reunion PO Box 10360 Bayfair Mount Maunganui
You'll receive all the information including accommodation, day trips and programme.
If you are wanting your military records, contact Defence Personnel Archives (see
Vets' Advice).
If you want to register the death of a NZ J Force veteran on the government database and this website, send details to Betty Cochrane. Try to include full name, date of death, date of birth if you know it, cause of death (a copy of the death certificate would be appreciated), and place of death. Be sure to include your own name.
