161 Battery's first live shoot with the 105-mm Light Gun, 1987

The first round down range with the new 105mm British Light Gun. Look closely...the gun has just fired and Dusty has just 'palmed' the LBM (lever breech mechanism) and the brass cartridge is being ejected out of the breech. The white bags on Sergeant Mike Subritzky's shoulder are charge bags...there are seven charge bags inside each cartridge so they were firing charge 3.
